NASA just released an update for the 2025 crewed missions, let’s see where Starliner fits in.
First, SpaceX Crew-10 is slated to blast off no earlier than February 2025. Two NASA astronauts, Anne McClain and Nichole Ayers, alongside JAXA’s Takuya Onishi and Roscosmos’ Kirill Peskov, will zoom up to conduct some good ol’ science.
Shortly after Crew-10 arrives, Crew-9 along with the stranded Starliner astronauts Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore will finally, FINALLY!, get to return home.
Crew-11 follows with a July 2025 launch target, though NASA’s still playing coy about who’s onboard. The mission focus is station resupply and other operational needs.
And the Starliner? Well, it’s not scheduled yet. There’s still a lot of paperwork and readiness checks before Boeing gets to join the party
NASA hasn’t slammed the door shut. They’re leaving a window open for a possible Starliner outing in 2025 — if all the cosmic stars align.
