Is SpaceX hogging all the rocket launches? Well, it sure looks like it!
SpaceX’s current launch schedule is already packed with Falcon 9 and Crew Dragon missions, but Elon Musk isn’t stopping there.
He envisions SpaceX launching up to 120 times per year from the Florida Coast. With launches split between NASA’s Kennedy Space Center and Cape Canaveral’s Space Launch Complex 37, that’s about one rocket launch every three days.
You’d think other space companies would be thrilled, right? Think again. Blue Origin and ULA aren’t so keen on Musk’s rocket monopoly and have already started whining to regulators. They’re concerned about huge disruptions and are proposing all sorts of limitations.
In true Elon fashion, Musk aims to brush aside these concerns and forge ahead, potentially hosting more launch parties than Captain Kirk on spring break.
